Mobarakeh Steel Company


Isfahan Mobarakeh Steel Company, the largest industrial complex of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the largest producer of flat steels in the Middle East, is located 75 km southwest of Isfahan on a land area of 35 square kilometers (17 square kilometers of production hall) with a production capacity of 7.5 million tons. Types of hot and cold rolled flat, tin-plated, galvanized, and colored steel products from 0.18 to 16 mm thick, including steelmaking capacities are in "Saba Steelmaking and Continuous Rolling" and also "Hormozgan Steel Complex" units.
To improve the newly formed processes of knowledge management, in 2010, the company defined and implemented a plan to develop a knowledge management platform in Mobarakeh Steel Company of Isfahan, and in this regard, selected MTA company from 2011 as an executor.
After a year of cooperation, a large number of Mobarakeh Steel employees became involved in knowledge management software to share knowledge. Moreover, Knowledge management was structured in this organization, and its strategies and comprehensive workflows were defined for each of the knowledge management solutions, including identifying and filling knowledge gaps, documenting experts' experiences, forming expert associations and CoPs, motivating knowledge initiatives, controlling knowledge activities, and monitoring the effectiveness of knowledge management. The company's knowledge management software was redesigned and developed, and finally, Mobarakeh Steel was able to be recognized as the top knowledge organization in the MAKE Award of Iran for the second time.
In continuation of its continuous activities in the field of institutionalization and realization of knowledge management goals, the company selected MTA for the second consecutive year as its companion in this direction.
